About Mark Fisher
In July, 2007, after becoming convinced of the absolute truth of the Bible and the true nature of God, Mark became a Christian. In 2009, after twenty eight years as a computer programmer at IBM, Mark "retired". Since joining the family of God, Mark has completed a Masters of Ministry through the Antioch School of Church Planting and Leadership Development, in Ames, Iowa. At Calvary Evangelical Free Church, he created and taught classes in Christian apologetics, led numerous Bible studies, including First Principles, and was a member of the Missions Team. Mark is married to his wife Barbara. Together they have two sons, Jon and Jeremy, and six grandchildren.
At the Gathering Church, Mark leads a community group and serves an elder, the church Treasurer, and the leader of the Missions Team. Mark is also part of the Gathering’s preaching team.
In his spare time, Mark writes novels of Christian historical fiction and fantasy. He is the author of The Bonfires of Beltane, a novel set in AD 432 at the time of St. Patrick, showing how the earliest Christians spread the gospel in the face of druid opposition. See www.MarkFisherAuthor.com
